Man’s best friend, your best friend – that’s a dog’s role in one’s life, in your life.

A dog will not just support you. He will also stand for you. A dog will not just love you. He will also be there for you. A dog will not just hear you. He will also listen to you. A dog will not just talk to you. He will also reach you.

We now know what it really means to be a dog.

But the question is: What does it really mean to be a dog owner?

Being a dog owner is being patient.

Unlike birds you can just view from afar by spotting scoping, dogs should always be watched from nearby. Sure, they can’t fly and be independent like that. But, they can love and be dependent like that – not because of what you can give to them, but because of what you can receive from them. Thus, being a dog owner is being patient. Being a dog owner is being patient for a dog’s needs, without prohibiting him about it. Being a dog owner is being patient for a dog’s wants, without reprimanding him about it. Most of all, being a dog owner is being patient – from the moment your dog started his life to the moment your dog will end his life, unconditionally and purely out of love for him.

Being a dog owner is being disciplined.

Unlike people you can just leave alone to make mistakes and learn lessons, dogs should always be guided with you beside them. Sure, they make mistakes often and can’t learn like that. But, they can learn from their mistakes if you are there to guide them – not because they fear you, but because they love you. Thus, being a dog owner is being disciplined. Being a dog owner is being disciplined for a dog’s mistakes, without blaming him about it. Being a dog owner is being disciplined for a dog’s lessons, without punishing him for it. Most of all, being a dog owner is being disciplined – from the moment you first took care of your dog to the moment you’ll last take care of your dog, unconditionally and purely out of love for him.
